This new set of First Day Covers features eight #6 3/4 envelopes with each one bearing a different affixed Batman Forever® stamp cancelled with an official First Day of Issue postmark. The stamps depict four versions of the Caped Crusader from four eras of comic book history: the Modern Age, the Bronze Age, the Silver Age, and the Golden Age. There are also four round stamps - each an incarnation of the famed Bat-Signal. The pictorial postmark shows the silhouette of a black bat overlaid with the word "Batman" in white. Also included are the date and location of stamp issuance: October 9, 2014, New York, NY 10199.
