17, 1937 postmark from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There is a "First Day of Issue" stamp across the lower portion of the 3-cent stamp. > Now, for the "good stuff" - this historic cover is signed in black fountain pen by all nine (9) Supreme Court Justices: Charles Evans Hughes, James C.

McReynolds, George Sutherland, Benjamin Cardozo, Pierce Butler, Harlan Stone, Louis D. Brandeis, Owen Roberts and finally Hugo Black. Black succeeded Willis Van Devander in late 1937. This Supreme Court was commonly referred to as the "Charles Evans Hughes Court".

<> Condition: this vintage First Day Cover was once housed in a frame and under glass, but it was carefully removed to present here in its "raw" and original form. The envelope flap on the reverse still glistens with adhesive, as it was never sealed.

There is old tape adhesive on the reverse's edges, along with a pencil squiggle underneath the flap. The cover has toned with age, but as you can see it presents itself solidly!
